Prof. Khan's research is in the field of Materials Engineering where the microstructure-processing-property relationships influence the function and performance of products. A broad spectrum of materials research is being conducted from novel methods of joining advanced materials (composites, oxide dispersion strengthened alloys and dissimilar materials) through to surface modification technologies and nanostructured coatings for corrosion and wear resistant applications.
