Welcome to my website!

Currently I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at Qatar University. Prior to this, I was a visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) UAE. I have completed my PhD in 2008 with the Service Oriented Computing Research Group (SOC@UNSW) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). I have 12 years professional IT experience in Australia particularly in design and development of large scale enterprise applications. Prior to joining AUS, I have been working as a Senior Consultant and Trainer with Readify. I also worked for large IT consulting companies in Australia such as EDS Australia and Praxa.

Research Interests

  • Cloud Computing particularly management and interoperability aspects
  • Software Composition for Distributed Systems
  • Software engineering of manageable and autonomic computing systems
  • Policy-based management of Middleware systems particularly Web Services
  • Web service technologies (WS-*, REST, Mashups, Cloud Services)
