| Dr.
Al-Muhtaseb earned his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from the
University of South Carolina in 2001. He also earned his M.Sc. and
B.Sc. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Jordan University of
Science and Technology. He is currently an Associate Professor in
the Department of Chemical Engineering at Qatar University. His main research interests are the various fields of separation science and technology, with a special attention to adsorption equilibria and processes. He also has a special interest in deriving thermophysical properties from thermodynamic models and designing organic and carbon sol-gel materials to provide an optimum performance in the separation and energy storage applications.
